Can use your skills, qualifications, lived experience and initiative to support your team in achieving their goals Yes, you read that right, lived experience and initiative, because it is not all about key selection criteria.Do you have a robust blend of strategic insight and Advocacy prowess, underpinned by a sound knowledge and understanding of political, legislative and government frameworks, we value leadership experience, particularly in crafting and executing advocacy strategies that resonate on a broad scale?What you will need
  • A Degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Law or related fields or equivalent work experience in a similar senior strategy, advocacy and policy roles
  • Minimum of two (2) years leadership/ supervisory experience of a team and function
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant practical experience in policy / advocacy / community engagement
  • Previous experience Developing position statements, advocacy materials (including submissions and letters), briefs and background papers and advice on a broad range of issues.
Highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976, Native Title Act 1993, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and other relevant legislation, or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.

  • Your salary package includes a base salary of $118,141K, plus the following additional benefits:
  • District allowance of up to $4,631 per annum for individuals with dependents
  • Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 and additional Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year
  • 14% superannuation
  • Five (5) weeks annual leave
  • 15 days personal leave, and paid Christmas close down
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,724;
