Enel Green Power entered the Australian market in 2017 as Enel Green Power Australia (EGPA), with the construction of one of Australia’s largest solar plants, Bungala Solar Farm located in South Australia. Our Australian operations now include three solar plants with a consolidated capacity of around 310 megawatts (MW) and 75MW wind farm and 90MW solar farm under construction.

Today, Enel Green Power Australia is a 50/50 joint venture between energy giants, Enel Group and INPEX. The company is targeting a significant increase to its installed capacity across wind, solar, storage and hybrid projects which is expected to accelerate EGPA’s growth in the local market and continue its commitment to driving Australia’s energy transition and achieving the country’s net zero target.
The Team
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Strategy and Transaction team comprises three main functions;
- Strategy:Defining strategic and tactical steps to best position the company for accelerated growth and creating value for the shareholders;
- Greenfield opportunities: Identifying and securing early-stage opportunities to build a greenfield pipeline; and
- M&A: Identifying and executing organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including Project pipeline and other M&A opportunities.
As part of these functions, the Strategy and Transaction team collaborates across all business department units – including the business development team, the operations team and the retail and trading team. The Role
The Strategy and Transaction analyst will report directly to the Associate and provide support across part or all team functions. The key responsibilities will include:
- Support the negotiation and execution of M&A and commercial transactions;
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence to assess investment feasibility;
- Assist in the preparation of Executive presentations for the Board and Senior Management;
- Origination of project pipeline including identification of greenfield opportunities;
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to structure and negotiate deals;
- Drive the evaluation of new project and business opportunities, including company analysis, monitoring market trends and industry development, as well as economic indicators;
- Develop a consultative relationship with industry partners, including potential acquisition targets, investors, and other stakeholders; and
- Other reasonable duties as instructed by your employer.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce and / or engineering;
- 1-3 years of professional experience in commercial or engineering consultancies, investment, or corporate finance;
- Exposure to the infrastructure and energy sectors (renewables preferred);
- Proficient in financial modelling, or keen willingness to learn; and
- Proficient in ARC-GIS, or keen willingness to learn.
