We are looking for reliable, dependable, and flexible individuals to join our efficient, and industrious team of operators that regularly clean our roads and streets in the Blue Mountains to keep them safe and reduce the amount of waste that flows into our storm drains. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, a willingness to follow instructions, a team player, proven experience in the operation of mechanical sweeping or a willingness to obtain.
The key focus of this position is to perform Council’s mechanical sweeping program to maintain the Blue Mountains streets and town centres to address road asset, storm water run-off, aesthetic, and water quality issues.
The Street Sweeper Operator will primarily be responsible for the operation and general maintenance of Council's Street Sweeping plant in accordance with operating procedures and service delivery requirements.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $57,405 gross per annum
+ adverse working conditions allowance of $2,500 gross annum
+ Street Sweeper allowance of $3,900 per annum
+ First Aid Allowance $884 per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
