Structural Engineer – Temporary Works

·       Permanent full-time position

·       Based in our office in Dandenong South, VIC

·       $70,000 + superannuation

SwiftScaff is an Engineered Scaffolding Solution company based in Dandenong South, established in 2004 and constantly growing and evolving since then. We design and supply temporary work solutions to residential, commercial, infrastructure, heritage, and Australian wide event projects.

A full-time position has become available for a Structural Engineer who has a background in Temporary work. The engineer will report to the head of the business and will be responsible for producing high quality temporary work designs including,

·       Preparing technical drawings

·       Carrying out load calculations and assessing structures against wind loads.

·       Designing and developing new composite materials.

·       Analyzing designs/construction methodologies, carrying out pricing calculations

·       Monitoring changes to designs and assessing effects on costs.

·       Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders across the project.

The successful applicant must possess:

·       A degree in civil or Structural Engineering

·       Engineers’ Australia membership

·       2 years of experience in construction field (Preferably in temporary works)

·       Experience using Computer Aided Design software.

·       Previous temporary work design experience is advantageous.

·       Construction White Card

·       Victorian Driving License

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to work in a team environment.

·       Ability to think outside the box and solve problems.
