Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior/Associate Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading structural design projects from concept through to completion, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary in-house teams to deliver exceptional results. As a Senior/Associate Structural Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, contribute to the growth of our firm, and mentor junior staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical concepts and project progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Structural Engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SPACEGAS, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing project teams and mentoring junior staff.
