To provide students with assistance and support through all aspects of student life. This includes advice on financial assistance, accommodation, diversity, disability, inclusion and health and wellbeing related issues.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Guidance and assistance for students with disabilities, devising reasonable assistance plans to enhance their learning experience.
- Provide tailored support to all students for academic and personal success.
- Develop and manage support programs and coordinate crisis interventions.
- Maintain partnerships and fulfill administrative duties as required.
- Assist students who are facing challenges such as personal challenges, family challenged, deaths in the family, medical and mental health challenges.
- Assist students the best you can who are experiencing financial challenges and are worried about continuing their studies.
- Assist students if they are experiencing study challenges such as but not limited to, lack of support, lack of direction and lack of commitment.
- Identify patterns of student issues/ challenges and develop strategies/ resolutions to these challenges.
About you:
Essential
- Relevant degree (e.g. Social Work, Sociology, Behavioural Science, or Psychology) plus two years experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills for event management and multitasking.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advisory abilities.
- Proven track record in developing strategies for student support and independent learning
- Proficiency in electronic environments and online information delivery.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, coordinate programs, and understand diverse student needs.
