About This Opportunity
This position is responsible for supporting the effective provision of all clinical teaching activities, rotations, and assessment delivery across all Years of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program. This role will work collaboratively within and across Clinical Unit teams covering a range of medical disciplines.
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensure teaching and learning activities are appropriately scheduled and resourced within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program. Coordinate and administer tutor workshops including arranging speakers and venues.
Facilitate, under guidance from the academic leads updating of teaching materials where necessary for local clinical unit requirements, including teaching manuals and distribution of relevant teaching information and materials. This includes working with the e-learning team to oversee the preparation and update of web-based learning resources as developed by the academic team.
Coordination and administration of the end-to-end process for all examinations and assessment (including the Objective Structured Clinical Examination’s (OSCE’s)) at the clinical unit in conjunction with student administration and relevant academics.
Contribute to a respectful, inclusive and culturally safe workplace that promotes a supportive and collaborative team environment for staff and students.
Strive to continuously improve work practices to enhance productivity and the staff/student experience.
Out of hours work, including weekends, may also be required.
This is a part-time (80%), fixed-term role until 31st December 2024.
At HEW level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $75,878 - $84,342, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $88,778 - $98,681 ,annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
About You
A degree or advanced diploma in a relevant area with at least two years’ relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
Demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service.
Proven ability to interpret and apply a range of rules, policies and procedures.
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement.
Relevant experience in student and/or academic administration in a higher education institution or similar environment will be highly regarded.
