ABOUT THE ROLE
Student Engagement sits within the Pro Vice Chancellor, Student Experience portfolio which includes Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life and Wellbeing. The role leads a large range of student services and activities to enhance Student Life at the University. The position reports to the Manager, Student Life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and build online platforms for various student experience initiatives, including involvement in emerging software and application development.
- Manage Student Engagement activities nationally, partnering with the Communications team primarily organising and facilitating student led events and online communications.
- Work in partnership with the broader Student Life team for orientations both online and on campus and various offices in the university guiding on key Student Engagement activities.
- Commitment in collaboration with internal and external stakeholder associations.
- Develop digital enhancement strategies for programs in the Student Life portfolio.
- Assess and present data for the purpose of Student Engagement initiatives, building surveys and reports.
- Provide essential support when necessary to the Manager, Student Life and/or Director, Student Engagement and Support.
ABOUT YOU
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
- Possession of a degree qualification, with relevant work experience in a similar role and/or a tertiary qualification with extensive relevant work experience.
- Hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues in the education sector.
- Proficient technical computer skills in the application of management systems, Google analytics, Vision 6, Canva and campaign performance reporting.
- Demonstrated experience using various online and social media platforms to be able to communicate to a wider audience.
- Highly developed customer service and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Maintain efficient time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
