The Student Equity Stream within the ANU Student Life team is seeking a pool of casual student staff members (Student Leaders) to assist in the Outreach program and the ANU Explorer Program. The Student Equity Stream focuses on groups who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education, including rural, regional, remote, low-SES, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. We interact with these groups before they access higher education.  The program builds aspiration in school students and persons within our partner communities, by meeting the students where they are and supporting them to get where they aspire to be, especially through higher education.

Outreach involves building aspiration in school students and persons within our partner communities. The successful applicants would assist in the design and delivery of activities in our partner communities. The Outreach program includes occasional multi-day travel to regional areas and partners with Regional University Centres to deliver activities at school visits and community events.
