• Salary is a School Officer Level 3 ($63,886 - $66,574 plus Superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role:

This position is an integral part of the College Administration Team. The Administration Team support students and staff in operational and administrative matters, assisting in the smooth running of the varied activities of the College. The Student Receptionist will be required to respond to both emergency and non-emergency situations in an appropriate, calm, caring and compassionate manner and provide first aid to students as required. The Student Receptionist will provide back up support to team members at the Front Reception and the Student Hub assisting with general, student, and attendance queries.

About the contract:

The position is continuing, full time (38 hours/week), term time (41 weeks).

About you:

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.

• Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card for paid employees.

• First Aid qualification.

• Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

• Well developed computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products and database management.

• Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated experience working in an administration office or front reception environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students, parents and staff.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, being sensitive to people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.

• The ability to be empathetic towards students showing kindness, care, and compassion.

• Ability to exercise judgement and initiative when procedures are not clearly defined and work calmly under pressure.

• Time management and planning skills, and the ability to stay on task with multiple interruptions.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.

• Demonstrated experience in working a team environment and supporting other team members as required.

• Proven capacity to operate in a collaborative, professional, and confidential matter.

• Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
