Carinity Education - Glendyne have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing to join the team.You as a Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing (YWSW), will work under the supervision of a Senior Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing to provide support to youth. Their work contributes to a rich education experience in a caring environment. The YWSW plays an important role ensuring that the social and emotional environments within the school are positive, respectful and calm.What do I need for this role?
- Certificate IV in Teacher Aide, Youth Work or similar relevant discipline
- Experience in providing Youth Work, education and support services to marginalised young people.
- Demonstrated ability to manage student behaviour including the ability to provide sensitivity to cultural and social issues which may affect young people.
- Ability to manage problematic behaviour of youth at risk, including physical intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Knowledge of IT based school management systems (TASS or similar) preferred.
- Possession of a valid LR Driver’s Licence or willing to obtain (Drive the School mini bus)
