University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is opening a new campus in the Adelaide CBD in mid-2024, operated in partnership with Education Centre of Australia (ECA). The inaugural suite of offerings comprises IT-related postgraduate degree programs. The portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years.
We are seeking to appoint a Student Services and Compliance Officer to provide exceptional student experience at UniSC Adelaide. You will be an ECA appointee allocated to the UniSC Adelaide campus. The position is available as a Full-time permanent appointment. It will assist the Campus Manager in the delivery of key administrative tasks within the student life-cycle - inclusive of, but not limited to general enquiries, orientation for new students, program/course variations and enrolments.
In the compliance role, the position is responsible for the administration, monitoring and reporting of student course variations and other matters to regulatory authorities via the Provider Registration and International Students Management System (PRISMS) as required by the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for students and visitors who have a general enquiry relating to UniSC Adelaide.
- Provide advice to students and complete administrative tasks associated with the student life cycle (e.g. enrolment, class timetable, locating resources).
- Collate and compile data for reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students to help ensure UniSC Adelaide’s compliance with various Australian regulatory frameworks, e.g. the ESOS Act, National Code of Practice.
- Support new student orientation and other on-campus student engagement activities.
As the successful candidate, you will ideally have:
- A relevant tertiary education qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer/student-facing role.
- Experience working with customer/student records and databases.
- Experience working with people from culturally- diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Desirable:
- Experience working in higher education and international education sectors and/or
- Experience working in the hospitality and/or event sector.
