Student Support Assistant

Full-time, temporary role for 2024, term time only

International Grammar School is a secular coeducational school located across sites in Ultimo, Glebe and Kangaroo Valley. We educate 1300 preschool to Year 12 students in a unique multilingual environment.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time temporary, term-time only, Student Support Assistant in our High School, to commence in Term 2, 2024. 

To be successful in this role you will have excellent knowledge and understanding of working with children with special needs, an understanding of Child Protection legislation and Child Safe principles, high quality inter-personal and communication skills, and a strong commitment to building and developing a culture of care for students.

In full cooperation with academic staff, the role will involve the implementation of the Individual Support Plans, including first aid and personal care as required, and supporting the students’ optimal participation in all aspects of the School’s educational program

Qualifications and or experience in working with children with special needs, in a school setting will be highly regarded and you will bring exemplary professionalism, and collegiality, performing your role with integrity, enthusiasm and energy.
