As part of our long-term strategy to continue this unprecedent growth, an opportunity exists for a Senior Project Manager who has a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, leadership abilities, and soft skills that are essential to effectively lead and deliver successful projects.
About the job:
Reporting to the Head of Projects and as a Senior Project Manager, you will assume a critical leadership role in overseeing complex projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful outcomes that meet stakeholder expectations and organizational objectives and goals through effective management practices. Your specific duties and responsibilities are to:
- Identify key stakeholders, understand their interests, needs, and expectations, and engage them through the project lifecycle to ensure alignment, transparency, and support.
- Have advanced skills in risk management and problem-solving.
- Anticipate potential challenges, develop contingency plans, and navigate complex issues that arise during the course of a project.

- Primary interface with the customer on behalf of EVO Power.
- Provide leadership and planning and coordinate the resources for each job including input from other departments, consultants, and other suppliers.
- Responsible for project documentation, generic project documents are required to be written by the incumbent and other Engineering/Test documents to be coordinated within the various Business Units.
- Within the Change Management process, take responsibility for recommendations and impact assessment for changes that affect overall scope boundaries or interfaces.
- Have confidence in dealing with Commercial Contract disputes directly with Customer.
- Manage a portfolio of small to medium sized projects to deliver them on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Be responsible for bid coordination, collating inputs and undertaking quality reviews of proposals prior to issuing to the business group leader for authorisation.
- Provide project delivery experience and assist in the development of other staff through appropriate supervision and training.
- Enhance the client relationship through responsiveness, effective communication, quality, and timely project delivery.
- Regularly brief the Head Of Projects on project performance.
- Agree resource schedules with Business Group Leaders and manage the resource allocation for jobs.
- Undertake project management tasks including invoicing, expenditure tracking and forecasting, project schedule management, corporate quality assurance obligations.
- Manage numerous projects to ensure tight deadlines are met.
- Provide status reports for the project.
- Post Design phase completion, prepare Design Handover pack for submission to Customer, Acceptance & Build teams, etc.
- Other tasks as allocated from time to time.
Essential Skills:
- Passion to manage a portfolio of small – medium sized projects.
- Meticulous focus and passion for Client Service with the ability to drive and develop Client Relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements of varying complexities.
- Project manages a multi-disciplinary engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Be regarded as a phenomenal team contributor working independently.
- Play a leadership role within the Projects Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to Project Managers and other team members.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of junior staff members.

IMS Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the IMS conforms to the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS/NZS ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.
- Report on the performance of the IMS and on opportunities for improvement to top management.
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
- Ensure that the integrity of the IMS is maintained.
- Assist with the identification, development, implementation, and review of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Assist your Manager and the HSEQ Supervisor in the identification, assessment, and selection of measures to control hazards and risks.
- Assist your Manager and the HSEQ Supervisor in monitoring and evaluating hazards and risk control measures.
- Assist your Manager and the HSEQ Supervisor in the identification, development, and provision of appropriate quality, environmental and health and safety related information, instruction, and training.
- Assist your Manager and the HSEQ Supervisor to effectively consult with workers.
- Ensure that all nonconformities are investigated, their causes found, that steps are taken to prevent a recurrence, and that everybody who needs to be told about it is told.
- Monitor and advise on legislative and technical changes in your respective field.
- Submit monthly reports on all strategic activities assigned to you.
- Attend Management Review meetings if required to do so.
- Support workers to follow policies and processes developed.
- Provide information to employees on the IMS.
- Ensure that all direct reportees receive training, instruction, and information to enable them to perform their work.
- Communicate the company’s Quality, Work Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and processes to employees in your business area and other business areas, if and when required.
- Be responsible for communicating risks and responsibilities for the integrated management system.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and not to let others come to harm due to your own actions.
- Report any quality, safety and environmental incident or hazards to the relevant Compliance team member.
- Keep informed of the contents of the integrated management system and apply it to daily work.
- Ensure you are not affected by alcohol or drugs, to endanger your own or any other persons’ health and safety.
