Join a respected electricity transmission operator that is responsible for a high voltage electricity transmission network. They are embarking on significant upgrades and installation of new assets across regional New South Wales resulting in sever positions for Substation Control Technicians to join their Delivery team. Reporting into the Control and Communications Team Leader, you will focus on testing and commissioning of new installations and existing Substations SCADA Terminal Units and Substation Control Systems. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of project plans, expenditure estimation, coordination of work teams, commissioning, and the provision of progress reports. Ensure that at the completion of work, clear, complete and organised documentation is retained in corporate systems and that further work required is logged. Prepare specifications for control minor works projects. Monitor the performance of contractors and suppliers with respect to time, cost, safety, and environment. Prepare and document designs for the minor augmentation of SCADA RTU’s and Substation Controls. Manage major capital projects as allocated by the Delivery team.
