About the Role
This is not just a “job” we are looking to fill; we seek an individual who is excited by the responsibility of ensuring the safe and responsible management of waste materials generated by mining activities, while minimizing environmental impact, consistent with the overall operational goals and strategic direction of the producer.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the above-ground Tailings Storage Facility, including wall and causeway raises, and the operation of the co-disposal piping infrastructure, ensuring all personnel involved adhere to company values, safety and production requirements.

What Skill Set Do I Require?

• Prior experience in the construction and management of Tailings Storage Facilities in a mining environment
• Minimum 5 years' Supervisory experience in a similar role
• Ability to Develop tools and processes for performance monitoring and reporting, in line with design parameter
• Experience in mining mineral sands, dry mining would be highly regarded
• Proactive and self-driven
• Ability to build rapport with employees across all levels of the organisation, including the Production / Maintenance teams, as well as manage internal stakeholders and contractor
