Benang is an emerging Infrastructure construction and maintenance services provider focused on sustainable solutions within the Utilities, Construction & Mining & Resources Sectors. Benang is currently looking for a Superintendent/Supervisor to join our Power & Water Infrastructure Delivery team.
Responsibilities/Experience:
- Plan, organise, and manage resources ensuring they are used effectively, efficiently, and safely
- Manage work in accordance with contract requirements and work schedules
- Develop and promote good communication between all levels of site and office personnel
- Authorize purchases and other expenditures in accordance with financial delegations
- Coordinate work groups so work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with work plans/schedules
- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment for employees
- Develop, maintain, and enhance good working relationships with the Client, other Contractors, and the Community
- Support operational personnel with staffing, training, development and day to day project delivery
The ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate 4 in Construction Supervision (ideal)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- At least 10 years of civil/construction experience with previous supervision/management experience in water/power
- Experience in managing the scope of work involving Infrastructure & Utility construction / Maintenance
- Strong safety focus
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
- Exposure and experience in managing utility projects(Western Power Ideally)
