Our client is a not-for-profit responsible for providing affordable and healthy goods and essential services to the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area (NPA), and mainland Aboriginal remote communities through its stores.
About the Role
Are you a dynamic and experienced retail Management Couple looking for a new opportunity? We are currently searching for a number of couples to manager one of their many busy stores in regional remote North Queensland.
This store provides essential goods for the local community including, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and groceries, as well as whitegoods and electrical appliances, housewares, furniture, clothing, power cards, fuel and gas.
Responsibilities
- Play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations.
- Managing inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient ordering processes.
- Supervise and train staff members to maintain a knowledgeable and customer-focused team.
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance the store's specials and to maximise sales.
- Previous experience in a retail environment as a Store Manager or Senior Supervisor.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and motivate the team.
- Customer centric mindset, dedicated to providing a positive shopping experience.
- Highly adaptable and resilient.
- Ability to work and communicate in a cross-cultural environment.
