Opportunity
Become a valued member of our team supervising the activities of the Blast Crew to ensure charging and blasting activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the blast plan.
Your key accountabilities will include:
-Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support for the professional development of the Blast Crew
-Coordinating the blast crew in all facets of charging and firing of open pit blasts to meet mining priorities in accordance with the weekly plan.
-Ensuring compliance with statutory and standard operating procedures in relation to designing, charging and firing of open pit blasts.
-Provide input and feedback to blast design and continuous improvement of the blasting process to maximise productivity and efficiency.
-Coordinate blast stocks and ensure mining rates are achieved within plan.
-Coordinate the maintenance and repair of all equipment utilised by the blast crew to ensure equipment is available when required.
-Coordinate the utilisation of explosive trucks to maximise truck efficiency whilst minimising costs.
-Proactively demonstrate personal commitment in regard to Safety, and Environmental and Social Responsibility practices through demonstrable leadership and participation in SER requirements
-Monitoring the safety and security of explosives to meet regulatory compliance and corporate standards.

About You
We are seeking an experienced Blask Crew Supervisor to join the team; you will have led crews previously building a great culture within your crew of safety, inclusion, responsibility and integrity. Being a registered on-site Shotfirer and Magazine Keeper will be essential and preferably you will have open pit mining or quarries experience.
Competent computer skills with working knowledge of Blast IQ, Shot Plus and MineSite3D will be highly regarded.
