But enough about us, let’s talk about you
We are in the market for an outstanding individual to develop and deliver the planned and reactive Electrical and Mechanical works and minor capital works to ensure the City’s buildings, facilities and structures are well maintained, fit for purpose and highly functional.
You will be someone who is able to get this done through the effective and efficient management of in-house and contracted electrical tradespersons, and other building services.
What can you bring to the team?
- Diploma or equivalent in Engineering, Building or associated discipline;
- Holder of a valid and current Electrical Licence Issued by Energy Safety WA;
- Ability to act in the role of Nominee for your own works under the City’s Inhouse Licence;
- Construction Safety Induction Card;
- Current unrestricted "C" class motor vehicle licence;
- Working at Heights Ticket or willing to obtain;
- Demonstrated experience supervising Electrical and Mechanical tradespersons, apprentices and contractors;
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of building compliance (including Electrical and Mechanical) legislation, and the ability to interpret standards and codes;
- Experience and understanding of delivering planned and reactive building services works;
- Knowledge and experience of building construction and maintenance techniques;
- Strong awareness and knowledge of safety issues relating to the operation of equipment in the installation/maintenance of works in a busy, people filled environment;
- High level of knowledge, experience and performance in budgeting and expenditure management;
- High level of knowledge and performance in project and contract management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships; and
- Ability to manage and prioritise individual work responsibilities to achieve target outcomes.
The finer details
This permanent full-time Level 7 position attracts a starting salary $107,846 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience as well as a restricted private use of a City vehicle (contributory).
