About the role

We are seeking an engaging and safety-focused Supervisor Contract Management to join our Fixed Plant Shutdown team at West Angelas to ensure the reliability and sustainability of Fixed Plant assets across our Operation. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, coupled with your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work.
You will be leading Contractor Management and Shut Down activities in regards to our contractor vendor partners working across a broad range of assets, making this role both challenging and interesting. You will have a diverse portfolio looking after not only contractor management but also long-term maintenance and capital projects execution.
You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on an 8 days on; 6 days off roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Shutdown Superintendent you will also be:
- Managing the engagement and performance of external contractor and suppliers and monitor the quality and standard of services
- Supporting the global contractor management governance program, so that there is a uniform approach to system use, data analytics and compliance
- Identifying and driving cost savings and fostering a continuous improvement culture
- Working closely with key stakeholders across various site based departments
- Driving a positive safety culture through proactive, visible and authentic safety leadership

- Contract Management Qualification

- Hold a current “C Class” WA Manual Driver’s License

Where you’ll be working
Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.
West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.
Our high grade, low phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refuelling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.
The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
