About the role
We are recruiting a back-to-back Underground Supervisor to lead our on-site teams, plant and ancillary equipment, at the Newcrest Cadia site, in accordance with our service level agreements, corporate and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for the implementation of Orica SHES requirements.

The roster will be 7/7 with a salary package circa $160K, a tool of trade vehicle will be provided for local candidates.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Leading and motivating onsite teams of talented Blasting Professionals and Operators, to ensure safe and efficient delivery of services on our customer site;
Providing analytical/decision support to the Territory Manager on continuous improvement planning for decreasing operational costs;
Recruiting, training and retaining employees; and
Scheduling the onsite teams daily activities to meet customer requirements and ensuring proper management of site including raw material ordering and preventative maintenance.
No two days are the same in the lives of our Underground Supervisors, therefore adaptability, a cool head under pressure, an ability to prioritise tasks, and provide superb levels of customer service are key to their success.
What you will bring
Most importantly, championing our most important value - Safety is the priority, always;
Previous underground and/or heavy industry experience is essential;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management position with operations, employee and customer responsibility;
Knowledge and/or experience in Drill & Blast is desirable;
Well-developed financial and commercial acumen;
The ability to build trust with others both internally and externally;
Possession of an NSW Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one; and
The ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
