As this role will be responsible for the overarching operation of the Manningham Function Centre, Civic Centre Meeting Rooms, MC2 Meeting Rooms and 15+ Community Based venues, we are looking for a strong people manager with proven venue operational management experience.
- Utilise your expertise in venue management to grow spaces that drive positive connections for the local community
- Lead a diverse team of facilities officers that deliver a range of venue and function services, providing users with an exceptional customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with a wide number of key stakeholders, community groups and local organisations to deliver outcomes that promote community participation through improved venue utilisation

Under the direction of the Coordinator Community Venues, you will assist in managing the operations of the Community Venues and Function Centre and Team.
The Supervisor Community Venues will oversee the day-to-day operation, including staff management, of a responsive, modern, and efficient range of Council venues for our community. With no two days the same, you will need to be adaptable and prioritise to the needs of the business. With a mix of administrational and operational tasks, you will establish work practices and rosters to ensure that Council’s venues are serviced efficiently and meet customer expectations. You must be prepared to jump in and assist in operational functions as required and to be successful in this position, you will maintain strong links with our venue hirers, to make sure we are delivering an effective and efficient service.
- Professional with experience in commercial or Community Venues administration and operations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong management and customer service skills.
- A clear communicator who can work collaboratively with professionals, clients and community representatives.
- A leader and influencer who can gain the support of their colleagues and can assist and support the team on the ground as required. A proven adaptable and reliable team member.
- Fully licenced with access to own vehicle.
