Brisbane City Council has partnered with design and construction consortium, Brisbane Move (made up of construction-lead ACCIONA and design-lead Arup) to deliver the major infrastructure for Brisbane Metro. ACCIONA is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join our Brisbane Move team and report to the M&E Superintendent. As Electrical Supervisor, you will coordinate onsite electrical construction activities, workforce, plant resources and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties and will ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality. This role will include both temporary and permanent electrical coordination within surface and underground works.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the electrical work and performance of construction teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Electrical standards and regulations
• Plan upcoming work and ensure resource levels are adequate
• Ensure that reports, records, timesheets, and invoices are approved and completed on time
• Proactively manage on site safety through strategies and programs to minimise incidents

Competencies & Experience needed

• Possess 8+ years’ hands-on experience as an Electrical Supervisor/Leading Hand in the construction industry
• Electrical trades qualification relevant to the construction and building industry
• Ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands and being able to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Strong drive, determination, and a positive attitude
