As the HV Technician Supervisor with Worley you will lead the HV technicians who are responsible for the safe inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment at a variety of generation sites (renewables, gas turbine, thermal) with a focus on site balance of plant electrical equipment and infrastructure. You will work closely with site operations and maintenance teams in planning and executing electrical inspections, testing, maintenance and outage work. Some of the key day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, train and mentor HV technicians in the inspection, testing and maintenance of LV\HV electrical balance of plant equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate work and outages with site operations and maintenance teams
  • Work with HV technicians onsite to execute inspection, testing and maintenance activities.
  • Perform diagnostic testing of equipment failures, rectify problems and recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate the preparation, issuing, authorisation and return of Permits To Work and the return to service of isolated plant.
  • Design and implementation of HV switching programs[GU1] [ML(2] .
  • Report and document inspection and maintenance activities, defects, operational problems and faults for corrective action.
  • Support sites with response to emergent electrical issues.
  • Support business development activities within the electrical testing and maintenance business.
  • Role will be based out of Perth with regular travel to regional sites within WA.
  What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years experience, or equivalent, in LV\HV electrical balance of plant inspection, testing and maintenance.
  • HV switching experience including design of switching programs.
  • EEHA experience
  • Detailed experience with HV testing and maintenance equipment.
  • Supervision experience leading and coordinating HV technicians.
  • High level diagnostic and fault finding capabilities.
  • Prioritisation & organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
