The Project:
Located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, and approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.
The Hunter Power Station Project will generate 660 megawatts via two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines, and is anticipated to be fully operational by the end of 2024.
What will a day look like in this role
- Maintain a thorough stock-take register of all materials and hardware in the yard – advising project engineers and supervisors when stock is low.
- Receipt materials received and identifying any defects to the project engineer, contract administrator and supervisors on the day of delivery.
- Review of supplier invoices in conjunction with the contract administrator.
- Coordinate project requirements with projects supervisors ensuring all materials and hardware are delivered to tower pads ahead of work crews.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery of materials, ensure sufficient plant, equipment and craneage (as required) is ready and mobilised to the yard ahead of deliveries.
- Maintain daily diaries ensuring resources on site are recorded, along with productivity achieved each day. Track daily and weekly attendance and overall working hours, taking care to ensure weekly timesheet accuracy, including the capturing of any relevant travel time or other forms of allowances
- Understanding project schedule requirements and driving leading hands, labour and subcontractors to achieve project targets
What would we expect you to bring to the team
- Experience working in a logistics role – Preferably with large infrastructure project experience
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise team activities within a multi-discipline project
- A commitment to promote a safety orientated team culture
- Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables and work efficiencies.
