About the RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Supervisor in Eraring, NSW for Downer's Industrial Energy business unit reporting to the Site Superintendent. The ideal candidate will be involved with duties such as:
- Manage team members' performance against their role accountabilities and Downer Standards of Business Conduct
- Understand and implement the works or services programme/schedule
- Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members and subcontractors, fostering an environment where different perspectives contribute to project success
- Actively engage and lead toolbox/prestart/safety meetings and ensure Zero Harm plans are implemented
- Effectively monitor & control subcontractor & procurement commitments and costs
About You- Trade certificate/license or appropriate tickets - Fitter /Machining (preferred)
- Previous exposure to working in the Power Station Industry in particular with Turbine Auxiliary equipment and high-pressure steam valves
- Strong leadership/interpersonal ability to manage teams across several disciplines
- Ability to work with technical information and translate as required
- Familiar with the SAP work management program (desirable)
- A sound computer base skill set in Microsoft word & Excel.
