About the role
Reporting to the Coordinator Open Space Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the operations of Parks Maintenance staff with a proactive approach to the environment
- Investigate service requests from the public and determine an appropriate course of action
- Monitor reactive maintenance requests to ensure that they are allocated to the relevant work teams/ contractors and completed to the specified standards within the required timeframes
- Ensure scheduled maintenance programs are developed and successfully implemented
Qualifications, skills & experience
We are seeking candidates with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture
- Current Class C Driver’s licence
- Traffic Control Certificates (Implement Traffic Control Plans & Traffic Controller) or willing to undertake training
- WHS Whitecard
- Experience in a similar role in local government, including direct staff supervision
- Demonstrated experience in horticulture operational maintenance
