About the BusinessOur Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Division helps to build community safety and wellbeing by providing support and services to children, young people and families, including those in the youth justice system, remote Aboriginal communities and people with complex and exceptional needs.Role DetailsThe Exceptional Needs Unit (ENU) works with young people, adults and families who have exceptional needs, exceptional risks, and exceptional circumstances. The Supervisor- Voluntary Out of Home Care (VoHC) is a role within ENU and accountable to the Program Manager, ENU for:

• Leading the case management and implementation of VoHC with children and young people.
• Implementing the Memorandum of Understanding related to VoHC.
• Leading the development of service delivery models policies and procedures for VoHC clients.
• Building, fostering and growing positive working relationships with commonwealth and state government, non-government and private sector stakeholders.
• Supervising and supporting staff, and students, in assessing, case co-ordinating and system navigating cases for VoHC ENU clients.

Special ConditionsNational Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some Out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Have an Understanding of Child Safe Environments.Essential Qualifications

• Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers

• Relevant Post Graduate qualification is desirable.
