About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and supporting the quality team, the experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Advisor will be responsible for assessing ASC's supply chain for compliance to Contract, ASC’s Purchase Order requirements along with assisting ASC to maintain certification against ISO certifications. This position involves assessing ASC’s sub-contractors to ensure services and or parts meet the requirements of the Submarine program. Local, interstate and international travel may be required for this position.

Supplier Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Supplier Qualification / Re-qualification documentation and performance review and approvals
  • Reviews and monitoring of supplier delivery performance to ASC supplier KPI's
  • Quality review and representative in Supplier Contract performance
  • Conduct Supplier Visits to discuss quality performance of parts and delivery
  • Ensure suppliers can sustainably meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Conduct supplier audits in accordance with the approved schedules
  • Assist identified suppliers with ASC Supplier Quality Improvement Program to improve Quality performance
  • Assisting ASC in and compliance to legislative, regulatory and other compliance obligations as required

Quality Assurance Advisor Responsibilities

  • Assisting ASC in and compliance to legislative, regulatory and other compliance obligations
  • To support 2nd and 3rd party audit programs to assure contractual and certification compliance
  • Conducting Failure analysis and Root Cause on Non-Conformances identified
  • Support the Quality Assurance Team and business in understanding, implementing and closing associated non-conformance and recommendations from Audit findings
  • Assisting to maintain the Corporate Document Management System
  • Support with the Supplier Audit and assurance functions as required

About you 

  • Previous experience in a Lead/Senior auditing role
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting supplier audits against legislative, standard and contractual requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Supplier Quality Assurance auditing, including source inspection and witnessing/verification of various production tasks
  • Relevant Engineering / Trade background is advantageous
  • Expertise with facilitating and supporting a commercial business in understanding, implementing and closing associated non-conformance and improvement recommendations
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessing results of quality inspections and tests to assure compliance with the specified technical requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate requirements and outcomes.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
