Supply Base Operator / Warehouse Officer | Miles
The Role
The role of the Supply Base Operator under the direction of the Supervisor is to effectively perform routine daily operational duties including but not limited to; freight receiving and dispatch, freight preparation, stock put away and general yard and warehouse operations. The Supply Base Operator will be required to operate a range of equipment, including hand tools and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities -
- Loading and unloading of vehicles (including general and specialised freight)
- Packing and unpacking of tubing, crates, boxes, pallets etc
- Perform Customer order Non-Conformance process
- Preparing freight for transport
- Operate inventory scanners
- Perform Goods Receivable process (put aways)
- Perform Goods Issue / Picking process
- Perform Customer Inventory Reconciliation process
- Restrain loads on vehicles
- Maintain yard and external operating areas in a safe, efficient and tidy manner
- Dangerous Goods Handling and Transport background desirable
- Ensure that all work is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards
Skills & Experience
- Forklift (LF) license (up to 16T) required
- Exposure to warehousing and/or yard operations Mining, Oil and Gas or heavy industry environment
- Ability to work cooperatively with others across the organisation to achieve shared objectives
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of SAP desirable
- Familiar with the inventory scanners desirable
- Experience in load restraining desired or training provided
