As a Supply Planner, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products throughout our Supply Chain. You will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans that align with production schedules, inventory targets, and customer demand. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in Supply Chain planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
The Company
Bluegum Pharmaceuticals is a growing, successful contract manufacturing organisation based in Banksmeadow near Mascot. We pride ourselves on a near new facility offering a safe and friendly working environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Planning
- Develop and maintain supply plans to meet production schedules and customer demand based on changes in demand, production output, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and finished products, and proactively manage Supply Chain exceptions.
- Manage Item Master Data and ERP MRP module.
- Purchase materials and manage inventory following company guidelines.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance customer service and cost efficiency.
- Control inventory with techniques on safety stock, ROP, and cycle counting, and analyze short shelf life, slow-moving, and excess stock with recommended actions.
3. Supplier Management
- Monitor and work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components to meet the company quality standards.
- Negotiate purchase prices, lead times, and order quantities to optimize Supply Chain efficiency.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive Supply Chain process improvements.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance Supply Chain efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply planning, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. Bachelor's degrees or higher in Supply Chain or business-related areas.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles, inventory management, and planning. A tertiary certificate in CPIM is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP (Pronto is highly regarded)
- Basic knowledge of procedures and compliance with GMP and Safety, Health and Environment requirements
