- Casual Support Workers required for supported Temporary Accommodation in our new location in Kingswood.
Dignity Ltd is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Our mission is to empower people with Dignity and prevent, respond to and end homelessness.
We are looking for dedicated individuals looking to work 5 hour shifts, minimum of 3 days per week, Monday – Friday.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Empower people who are experiencing homelessness
- Assist our guests to find suitable stable accommodation
- Assist with applications for private rental and other documentation
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of our guesthouses on every level
- Ensure adequate food/carepacks/supplies and replenish as necessary via our Distribution Centre
- Change linen on beds, clean all areas including bathrooms, floors and kitchen daily.
- Intake forms and other \ administration tasks as directed
- Update database and keep records
The ideal person for this position will have:
- Valid Working with Children Check (for paid work) is mandatory
- DV Aware Certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent Computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Time management and problem solving skills
- Personal maturity and self awareness
- Proven capacity to manage professional boundaries
- An eye for detail and ability to clean to Dignity standards
- Able to listen respectfully to our guests
- Common sense and the capacity to work with dignity at all times
SALARY
Hourly Rate above Social Services Industry Award
