We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to assist a 34-year-old male client in West Ryde.
The ideal candidate will help the client follow his morning and evening routines, provide prompts for cooking meals, and support him with personal care and household tasks. You will also accompany the client on walks and work collaboratively with allied health professionals to support the client's goals.
Shift Times:
- Mornings: 8am-11am (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)
- Evenings: 5pm-8pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with following his morning and evening routines
- Provide prompts for cooking meals and completing personal care and household tasks
- Accompany the client on walks to encourage physical activity
- Collaborate with allied health professionals such as dietitians and occupational therapists to support the client in achieving his goals
- Previous experience in a Support worker or similar role is preferred
- Ability to follow routines and provide gentle prompts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Orientation Module - Quality Safety and you
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Australian Driver's License
