What You Will Be Doing
The Surgical Nurse Navigator will be the key contact for clinicians and patients undergoing arthroplasty surgery. They will be responsible for the delivery of surgical school education sessions and providing clinical assessment of patients recently added to the surgical preparation list. As well as maintaining regular communication with patients throughout their waiting period, providing support and guidance for surgical preparation. This pivotal position is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience by addressing current challenges and leveraging opportunities in the provision of education and preparation for planned surgery, with a particular focus on hip and knee arthroplasty.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Proven commitment to the provision of safe, personal, effective and connected care
- Expert knowledge, skills and experience in clinical assessment and the use of screening tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of the highest professional standards.
- Demonstrated ability to constructively communicate concerns and issues and to identify and propose practical solutions to problems.

*Please refer to salary circular for Nurses and midwives (Victorian public sector) (single interest employers) Enterprise agreement 2020-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
