We are currently seeking a fulltime Surveillance Operator who will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and customers, the protection of assets, the integrity of Mindil Beach Casino Resort operations. Central to this Surveillance role is to observe, monitor and report on all events, actions, and business in and around the property utilizing Closed Circuit Television system, computer information systems and floor surveillance.
The ability to investigate and analyze video data and maintain a logical approach to dealing with issues is a must. We are seeking a positive, friendly, inquisitive, and lateral thinking person who has sound literacy, mathematical, computer and observation skills.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Ensure that all work is completed effectively and error free and maintain a focus on gaming and cash handling operations
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls are followed
- Contribute to team effectiveness by being a supportive and responsible team member and ensure the professional integrity of the surveillance department is always maintained
- Maintain timely and concise data entry and reports on incidents, gaming analyses, monitoring observations etc and providing Surveillance management with recommendations of any actions required
- Using Closed Circuit Television to monitor and investigate incidents
- Monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures for all casino departments
- Maintaining a Daily Log of activities
- Compiling data and information to produce in-depth reports
- Report equipment and system faults as required to the Technical Division
ABOUT YOU:
- Demonstrated experience in a casino security and/or surveillance role is preferred but not essential
- Previous in other Casino or Controller roles may also be an advantage
- Experience in understanding and comprehending the importance of regulations, rules and procedures
- Have the ability to work in a highly pressurised and controlled environment
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication
- Demonstrate excellent mathematical and literacy skills
- Possess high levels of concentration and observation skills
- Basic proficiency in information technology and data sets.

This position is subject to the approval of a Casino Operatives License, which involves a criminal and financial history check with an associated cost of approximately $350.00.
