Introduction:

We are an all Aussie made swimwear label priding ourselves on sustainability and craftsmanship. 

Job Description:

• Cutting fabrics according to patterns provided by the design team.
• Ensuring precision and accuracy in fabric cutting to minimise wastage.
• Working with stretch fabrics and their unique properties. 
• Maintaining the cutting area and tools in a clean and organised manner.
• Collaborating with the designer to understand specific cutting requirements for each design.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a fabric cutter in a similar fashion design or apparel production setting.
• Proficiency in using cutting tools, such as scissors, rotary cutters, and electronic cutting machines.
• Ideally, has knowledge of stretch fabric types.
• Ability to read and interpret design patterns and templates.
• Attention to detail and precision in cutting fabrics.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Educational Background:

These are preferable but not necessary

• A degree or diploma in fashion design, dressmaking, or a related field.
• Certification or training in specific sewing techniques or garment construction.

Work Experience:

• Any experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. 
• Training will be provided for our practices. 

Work Environment and Schedule:

• The work place is a studio/warehouse on the Central Coast- only 1km from Gosford Rail station. 
• The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. But, it’s negotiable.
• Part time or casual role is available.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Contract

Salary: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week

Schedule:

• 6-8 hour shift
• Day shift

Experience:

• Mass to small production fabric cutter: ideally 1 year minimum experience.
