Job Description: As a Switchboard Fitter at Synchronous Building Automation, you will play a vital role in the assembling and testing of custom switchboards that meet the technical requirements and operational needs for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine switchboard layout, components and wiring configurations
- Select and procure electrical components based on project requirements and specifications
- Assemble switchboards as per instructions, ensuring accurate placement and connection of components
- Wire and terminate electrical connections according to industry standards
- Conduct functional testing and quality checks, troubleshooting any issues
- Maintain accurate records of switchboard assemblies
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical assembly, switchboard fabrication or panel building
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and wiring practices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and techniques
- Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.
