Position Duties:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-hosted infrastructure (Azure preferred)
- Provision and configure virtual machines, storage, networking, and other cloud native services consumed within Microsoft Azure and M365 (Entra, Email, MFA, Backup, monitoring, compliance, and data protection).
- Monitor cloud resources, analyse usage patterns, and optimize performance and costs.
- implement security controls and compliance measures to protect cloud environments and data.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- Minimum of five years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration and management.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance principles.
- Experience in the implementation and management of enterprise ICT infrastructure, networking and perimeter defence for ICT cloud and hosting service delivery - within an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) deployment model as a service environment is preferred.
Position Duties:
- Plan, configure, and support database management systems to meet user requirements while maintaining optimal data integrity, reliability, and performance.
- Resolve user tickets and escalations related to database systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Oversee system upgrades and rollouts including testing and debugging to ensure the smooth implementation of the system and minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide training to users to ensure proficiency with database systems and maximize utilization.
- Analyse data for insights and collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Generate comprehensive reports for management review,
- Troubleshooting and providing service support in diagnosing, resolving, and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions, encompassing workstations and communication infrastructure
- Maintain inter-system data integrity to ensure seamless integration and consistency across platforms.
- Work closely with vendors to raise tickets, negotiate changes and conduct thorough testing, ensuring seamless integration of requested alterations.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- Minimum of five years of experience in database administration, including planning, configuration, and support.
- Strong proficiency in resolving user tickets and escalations, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience in overseeing system upgrades and rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Ability to provide effective training to users and promote system proficiency.
- Familiarity with learning management platforms and HR-related surveys.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, prioritisation, and management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to contribute to projects and initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Position Duties:
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers across multiple platforms (e.g. Windows, VMware).
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimization techniques.
- Manage server resources, including storage allocation, CPU utilization, and memory management.
- Conduct regular server updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, analyse traffic patterns, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, including but not limited to, Active Directory (Forests, Domains, Trusts), DHCP, DNS, Group Policy.
- Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Perform regular backups, test restore procedures, and verify data integrity.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure compliance with backup policies.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- Minimum of five years of experience in system administration.
- Proven experience in Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Solid knowledge of network architectures, configurations, protocols, and security.
- Experience working with backup storage technologies -such as Commvault, SkyKick & Veeam
- Experience with Windows SCCM, Group Policy, Intune, and Autopilot.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell is desirable.
