Role Overview:
LMC is seeking a Junior System Administrator to join our Managed Services Team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 3-5 years of Level 2 / 3 IT support experience eager to progress into an IT System Administrator/Engineer path. As a Junior System Administrator, you'll be pivotal in supporting our diverse technological stacks, including virtualisation, operating systems, networking, security, and more. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll be exposed to many technology stacks.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end user support, swiftly resolving technical issues to Service Level Agreements.
- Manage and maintain client private cloud tenancies, leveraging VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, vCloud Director and NSX-V.
- Support clients' private and public cloud services, including Microsoft 365 Suite, Azure, and AWS.
- Troubleshoot Linux and Microsoft server technologies, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Docker.
- Implement robust security measures to safeguard information and applications while ensuring authentication services are robust.
- Develop automation scripts, primarily using PowerShell, to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
- Implement network configurations, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements for both internal and client networks.
- Document standard operating procedures and policies to ensure clarity and consistency across operations.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related industry certifications is preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in desktop engineering, helpdesk, or IT support roles.
- Proficiency in managing VMs, preferably with VMware technologies.
- Experience with Linux and Microsoft server technologies, including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS; experience preferred.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, with exposure to routing, firewalls, and switching; experience preferred.
- Scripting experience, preferably in PowerShell, with a willingness to learn new scripting languages.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while working autonomously.
