One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced System/Network Administratorto deliver cutting edge capabilities through a range of different projects. You will provide system administrative support with the primary focus being on ongoing maintenance and development of critical systems. The role will primarily be based in Brisbane as well as remote work as flexible working arrangements are available. The successful System/Network Administratorwill be offered a 12 month contract with extension options.
The successfulSystem/Network Administratorwill be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Configuring network connected equipment and performing basic fault investigations
- Undertaking working on RHEL systems including server kickstarting and software version upgrades
- Assisting with installation and integration activities including the decommissioning of hardware
- Undertaking procurement activities necessary to enable successful delivery of projects
The successful System/Network Administratorwill have experience in the following:
- Understanding of Data Centres and telecommunication hardware
- Experience with simple network protocols and embedded operating systems such as Cisco IOS
- Experience with configuration monitoring software that utilises SNMP traps
- Experience with Systems Administrative work conducted on RHEL systems
