About the role
Azure Group are on the lookout for a skilled Systems Administrator to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Reporting to the General Manager whilst working independently, your role will be integral in managing a wide range of IT functions, from software maintenance and security enhancements to data integration and IT requirements assessment.
You will also be responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and deployment of IT infrastructure to the team.
You will engage with proprietary software, necessitating keen attention to detail in identifying and rectifying software issues in collaboration with our developer partners. Your contributions will also include improving the functionality and efficiency of our office systems through software enhancements.
Responsibilities will include:
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain, upgrade, and improve desktop environments.
• Ensure system integrity through regular maintenance, updates, and patches.
• Provide timely support for technical issues at both basic and intermediate levels.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Expertise in data backup, disaster recovery, and networking protocols.
• Expertise in deploying, reviewing and maintaining best practice security within a MS Admin and Sharepoint environment
• Experience with Policy Enforcement and Training including maintaining IT Policies and providing company wide IT training and Phishing simulations
• Purchasing of new hardware and software as required and configuring the same
• Experience with deploying IT projects from inception to delivery
• Lead the deployment of new applications and IT Projects from inception to delivery.
• Monthly audit/IT Risk reporting to General Manager and key stakeholders
• Plan and test further IT Systems or Applications
Experience Required
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least five years of professional IT experience.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and excellent time management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of firewall configurations and security systems
About You
• Solid understanding of MS Admin and adherence to IT security best practices.
• Administration experience in setting up SharePoint online including permissions, site libraries and document libraries and security
• Flexibility to handle duties beyond standard hours as needed.
• Extensive industry experience and superb communication skills.
• Proficiency in Office 365
• Experience with XPM, FYI Docs would be desirable
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including VLANs and routing.
• Ability to support desktop environments, including troubleshooting and hardware management.
• Skills in setting up and managing network printers and scanners
