This Government Organisation has an exciting role based in the Sutherland Shire for an Australian Citizen seeking work as a Systems Engineer specialising in Operation technology. They are currently looking for someone who is experienced working across VMware virtualisation, Windows operating systems, operational technology, and Cisco networks. They are offering a Hybrid model and most likely a contract extension after the 12 months.
Your new role
In this role you will be a Systems Engineer focusing on some operational technology projects- VMware, Windows, and Cisco. You will be supporting the network infrastructure and the Windows Servers. You will be highly skilled in the design, build and commissioning of Windows systems and have fantastic documentation skills in safety, security, and quality. You will be able to develop ongoing asset management plans and implement essential cyber security controls. You will have fantastic communication skills with both technical and nontechnical users.
To be successful for this role you will have to be an Australian Citizen as they will require security checks.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3-5 years' experience as a Systems Engineer
- Operational Technology experience
- Must be able to provide hands on work
- CCNA certified
- Experience with VMware (vSphere essentials)
- Experience with Cisco (Catalyst switches)
- Experience with Windows Server 2019
- Strong experience with documentation
- Extremely good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Be extremely disciplined
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Be an Australian Citizen
