Form of work We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for our client - a well-established, multinational company that works across a range of different sectors. They are a leading provider of systems, products and services in the defense, security, and civil markets within Australia and throughout the world.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering lead you will be responsible for performing a subset of the system engineering activities required to develop a solution or product.
It is a contract job for 12 months with very good hourly/daily rates. The candidates have the option of working in one of these locations - Bendigo VIC/Melbourne CBD/Eagle Farms in Brisbane/Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney with hybrid working arrangement(3 days in the office and 2 days wfh). If you think you are not open to contract employment arrangement - permanent job option is also available.
Other responsibilities include but not limited:
Analyze the customer’s and other stakeholders’ needs to meet the requested requirements
Describe the missions, functions and requirements on the solution or the product
Formalize the specification and the architectural design to develop the solution or the product
Prepare and perform the solution or product integration, verification and validation tests
Skills, Experience, and qualifications required for the role:
Engineering qualification enabling registration as a Chartered Engineering with at least 5 years of experience as System engineer
Must have experience in DOORS (systems engineering software) and be able to derive system requirements to author SSS and VCRMs from a contracted FPS.

A high level of interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Experience in Configuration Management
Experience in the development of requirements.
Able to establish validation activities in support of requirement sign off.
Ability to use standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
Understanding of Defense user community and associated operational environment.
Commercial Services & Support delivery with a sound understanding of the business principles and practices.
