We are looking for a dedicated and reliable team player who is keen to learn on the job and through their course work while growing their skillset. The Trainee Operator, Sport & Recreation is responsible for undertaking operational activities associated with the provision of horticulture and Recreational services in Councils parks, gardens, sporting fields, streetscapes, cemeteries together with Tamworth Botanic Gardens, Gipps Street and Riverside Playing Fields and the Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- To be eligible and willing to undertake a Traineeship towards attaining a Certificate III in Horticulture
- A Current Driver Licence (P1 & P2 is acceptable)
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience working effectively in a team environment (work, school, sport)
- The ability to problem solve and take initiative with a positive can-do attitude
- A genuine interest in building a career in your chosen area

Salary range: Grade T2 – T5 $564.40 - $889.00 per week excluding superannuation for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
