The Company
Our client is an ASX listed healthcare business that specializes in a number of different medical services and has become a leading healthcare provider in not only Australia, but multiple countries globally. Sitting at a corporate level, our client has one of the best cultures seen with fantastic tenure across the board. As the business continues to expand, their financial function has created a new role for a Tax Accountant to join their high performing team.
The Role
As the Tax Accountant, you will enjoy a collaborative and friendly working environment and be provided with many opportunities to develop your technical skills. This role will sit at a group level and will be exposed to a large array of responsibilities including business improvement projects and compliance! You will also work closely with the Tax Manager who also plays an essential role in mentoring you into a successful and well-rounded Tax Accountant.
Reporting to the Tax Manager, the role will focus but not be limited to:
- Assisting with the group's international tax position.
- Involvement in both local and international acquisitions.
- Providing ad-hoc advice on income tax, stamp duty, GST, FBT, and other indirect taxes.
- Manage Australian tax payments.
- Review of Australian group BAS.
- Income tax return and FBT reviews.
- Income tax provision reviews and financial statement reporting.
- Liaising with external advisors.
- Liaising with revenue authorities.
- Review of tax systems, policies and procedures and process improvements.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- Business Services or Chartered Accounting experience preferred.
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards your qualification.
- At least 3-5 years' tax experience in accounting/analytical experience.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to the broad audience.
