Tax Accountant Team Leader

Etax Accountants is in search of a talented Tax Accountant who is on the rise in their career. 

Our National Head Office in Upper Mount Gravatt is currently hiring a proficient Tax Accountant for a 9-month contract. The role is ideal for an individual looking for the opportunity to be part of an innovative business utilizing an online business model, with a focus on self-development and progressive online client management system.

Full Time, Monday – Friday, hybrid workplace, immediate start!

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for but, not limited to:

• Manage workflow of daily tasks and team goals
• Provide feedback and coaching to graduate accountants
• Prepare and lodge both simple and complex Individual Tax Returns
• Prepare and review FBT returns
• Liaise with ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies on various client matters
• Proactively contribute to incoming and outgoing calls
• Develop and deliver training sessions to graduate accountants in relation to tax accounting and best practice
• Prepare correspondence to clients 
• Provide expert, friendly service directly to clients as needed, including by phone, in person and online tools
• Reporting on and achieving key KPIs as set by the Tax Manager

Key Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
• Ability to work autonomously from home
• Ability to work quickly with accuracy under pressure
• Demonstrated competence in Tax Accounting 
• Possess relevant qualifications in either Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a public practice 
• The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Police Clearance to be eligible for this role
