We are currently recruiting for a well-known commercial law firm based in the CBD, who are looking for a Senior Tax Associate. The role offers the opportunity to manage the delivery of tax advisory services across a range of tax matters and to a variety of clients.
The role will involve providing taxation advisory services to individuals and entities active in various commercial fields, and you will be working alongside several finance professionals. You will also work closely with our commercial, property and estate planning practices to support our integrated servicing model.
The taxation advisory practice provides the following services:
- advice on Australian direct and indirect tax
- advice on transfer duty, landholder duty and other state taxes.
- assisting clients with managing federal and state tax reviews.
- representing clients to manage and defend claims; and
- assisting clients with taxation structuring, including by providing our expertise in relation to trusts, business succession, restructuring and transaction planning.
Requirements:
- Admission as a lawyer in WA and hold a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in Taxation Law.
- Strong project management skills and a focus on client service.
- Excellent advisory and verbal communication skills.
- Strong legal drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in small teams.
- Broad commercial focus, with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of business drivers.
- Depth of experience in taxation advisory and commercial practice areas.
