Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Address client inquiries and provide clear, concise answers to tax-related questions.
- Admit when unfamiliar with a tax-related issue, conduct thorough research, and deliver informed responses.
- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
- Conduct oneself professionally and proficiently in interactions with clients, both in-person and over the phone.
- Manage administrative tasks and follow-up with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- Handle the pressures of the tax season with poise and efficiency.
- Be highly reliable and able to work independently, meeting tasks in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to receive and implement direct feedback and constructive criticism with a positive and growth-oriented mindset
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer.
- Exceptional knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with flexible hours.
- Passion for the finance industry and genuine enjoyment of working with the general public.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and conducting research.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Necessary experience with Handitax and/or Xero Tax
- Necessary experience with Xero invoicing
- Necessary experience with Excel spreadsheets
- Must have a reliable laptop, mobile phone and internet access.
