Come and join this small team of six who offer a complete range of accounting, taxation and financial services to small and medium businesses and individuals. Established in 1999 the team is committed to providing their clients with the best possible "total care".
They're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team in a permanent part time or full-time capacity who has experience preparing tax returns and preferably in a private practice setting.
Duties Are but not limited to:
- Assist the tax agent to prepare all forms of tax compliance (Tax Returns, BAS forms, STP Finalisation FBT returns etc)
- Review clients accounts, adjusting and correcting where required to prepare financial reports and other documents (interim financials or trading accounts for finance applications)
- Liaise with ATO on behalf of the firm and clients
- Assist and interact with the team, attend training sessions when required
- Communicating with clients and other relevant stakeholders
Skills/Experience:
- Must have permanent residency.
- Proven experience using Xero.
- Have, or working towards an Australian CA qualification (preferred)
- Recent experience with a private accounting firm (preferred)
- Excellent written and spoken English.
